Restricted Work Injury refers to the injury resulted by workplace accidents, due to which an employer restricted injured employee to perform some work in his normal routine shift or restricted him not to work full hours of his normal routine shift. employer restrict injured employee for some work to recover injuries faster.
Example of RWI:
Suppose a worker got injured at your workplace in an accident, his left hand little finger got fractured, after his one normal shift he came back at workplace, but his finger not fully recovered, so in this case employer can restrict him to avoid to lift any load with both hand, he can deploy him in some official work where he carry light weight files or support office staffs or employer can restrict his working hours by reducing his normal shift hour.

Calculating RWI is very simple, for calculating RWI count the days or hours from a employee restricted for his normal routine shift or hours.
Who will decide or declare RWI:
An authorized physician or doctor will recommend or decide if an employee need to be restricted for some work or for some hours from his normal routine shift.
