Job Safety Analysis - Hot work JSA.
Job Safety analysis is process or method to carry out a task safety by identifying hazards and applying suitable control measures.
An effective Job safety analysis - JSA can be completed in four steps - Job safety Analysis
1. First you need to select a task which you want to analyze.
2. After selecting the job, break the job in its step/task.
3. Identify/determine hazards and risk in each task/steps
4. Implement suitable control measures.
Any activity in which there is chance/risk of fire considered Hot work such as welding, grinder and cutting.

- Fire due to spark.
- Electrical Shock.
- Burn Injury.
- Fall from height.
Control measures:- Job Safety Analysis
Remove all combustible/flammable/explosive material from work location.
Prepare proper Hot work booth with fire blanket to avoid spark flash over.
Gas testing must be done before & during the work where required.
Deploy fire watcher with fire extinguisher & Running water hose.
Provide job specific PPEs ( Face shield, leather hand gloves, apron)
Only authorised person will be involved in electrical operation.
All Electrical tools must be routed through ELCB.
Electrical cables must be free from cuts/damages.
Provide certified working platform.
Provide proper anchoring point i.e. lifeline.
All equipment, tools must be inspected and tagged.
