Job Responsibilities:
- The company’s policies on safety should be implemented and supervised.
- Accident prevention issues require regular oversight.
- Adherence to health and safety standards should be ensured.
- Managers should ascertain root causes of accidents or incidents.
- These programs aim at reducing accidents at work through training employees on how to stay safe,
- Reports on security shall be prepared by him.
- Safety campaigns are developed by working together with management.
Qualifications Required:
A certificate in NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA or equivalent is essential. Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Construction/ Site /Industrial Safety Officer in construction or engineering industry. MUST have done a Diploma or degree in Safety Management, Engineering or related field. Strong knowledge of legislation and best practice relating to health and safety is essential for this job. Good communication and leadership skills are required for this role. Should be able to work independently as well as in teams.
